Rotary Club of Hyderabad Mavericks

Rotary Club of Hyderabad Mavericks (Club ID: 91204, Dist. 3150) born during the lockdown in August 2020 and is in to 3rd year of operations. Today, the Club is armed with about 55 qualified, experienced doctors, auditors, engineers, veterans from defense & diplomatic services, and both successful as well as emerging young CEOs members. Within a year of its installation, the Club had successfully implemented a few service projects in Hyderabad despite the pandemic panic. These projects included sponsorship of young tennis player, health camp, distribution of dry ration to flood victims, financial support to group of talented drama artists affected by the pandemic, helping Girl students for higher education etc. During 2nd and 3rd year also, club continued its social service activities and have executed many activities such as Mega Health Camp including Cancer Screening, financial support for girl child education, distribution of Note Books, Sports items, Flood relief kits to Godavari Flood victims, donation support upliftment of Arts & dance etc. All these acts of benevolence have been deeply appreciated by both beneficiaries.

Drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhiji"s life mission ’manava sewayee madhava sewa’, the Board of Directors of the Club has recently decided to launch our service mission “Aalambana", a long-term project. The main objective of this mission is to comprehensively support the education of young orphan children (between 5 to 15 years) of COVID victims, victims of Road accidents and of farmer suicides including the girl children. For this, the Club has partnered with Police Department of Telangana Govt. and Women Development and Child Welfare Department of Govt. of Telangana. The club has appealed for raising funds not only from fellow Rotarians but also from corporate leaders and kind hearted donors & philanthropists.

As the first step, on the occasion of International Girl Child Day on 11th October 2021, the RCHM team led by the Club President Shri Dev Amar, Vice President Smt P. Vanasri have donated a cheque of Rs 4 lakhs to Smt. Satyavathi Rathod, Minister of Scheduled Tribal, Women and Child Welfare of Telangana Govt. in the function organized by Women Development and Child Welfare Department. The donation to be used for education programs for the girl child effected during pandemic period under Project “Aalambana”.

Apart from the above the main activity and the signature project of RCHM is ROSE Primary Learning Centre [RPLC] funded by ROSE Charitable Trust. Primary education is being provided to the children whose parents are daily workers who can’t afford to sed their children even to Govt. schools. Current strength is around 55 and planning to increase it up to 75 in near future.
